Gemmy diff strength

What the max amount of power anyone's put through a stocko diff without it breaking?
Anyone seen a noticeable difference in strength between petrol and deisel diffs?
I ask because I've recently put a g200 in and the diff or tailshaft or something back there is making a rumbling noise when I launch hard.

I have found the first thing to go is the bearing at the torque tube,where it meets the tailshaft.From what I understand it goes oval and thats where you get the noise from.

200 bhp 10 days life span of a second hand diff, first to go is the little pin that holds the centre shaft in the centre then this shaft hits the pinion then it's all over, replacing the pin allows a longer life span if hard launches are required.

Gee 200bhp here too, but my lifespan is ....still going good as new. Must the difference in driving styles.... he he...load it up gradually, dont clutch dump often, it'll be OK..

Yeah correct if you drive it like an old woman it will last forever,
it also depends on the condition of the diff you get.

I 've used that even long drives Melb to Perth the diff's don't like, I used 1 diff each way, loading it up gradually, rough roads high speeds diff's says no.no.no hehehe....

Awwww, but I like driving like a nutcase. What about deisel diffs? Any stronger? Why?

slightly stronger but the atio is 3.55:1 instead of 3.9:1, so each gear is a little longer, ie harder to get spinning in 2nd.
