top speed

i clocked my gemini the other day i think i would have been doing 185kph and it still had more.
it needs new rings and also isnt tuned properly, when i do that it will go 340kph

not really but wil be a bit better.

whats a way i can cheeply get better acceleration?
diff center maybe?

my gem did about 120kph..... backwards!!!! that's right! backwards! it was on a car trailer but if you don't mention that bit it sounds pretty good! lol

I reached 215 kph at 7000 rpm in 5th at the end of the main straight at Phillip Island two weeks ago. (twin cam efi 2.0lt)

Yeh no shit. I've got the same engine with a piazza gearbox and it flies.. for a gem anyway. I havent driven the car much but have had it up to about 90-100kmph in the bottom of third gear. I doubt mine could hit super high speeds since the dude I think it has a rev limiter and its supposed to cut out at 6 grand or so.

The acceleration is awesome though, around 3.5 grand it just winds up so nice and you get awesome power. I love seeing bogans in commodores get confused when you crank it up going past them. They got no idea.

yeah the old TE has been up at 190 kph but you cant tell how fast you are going cause there isn't any marking on the speedo past 180... go the 2 litre..

i had my g200 single cam doing 105kph in second at 7100rpm
fucking blew it up the cunt had too much head work
