I live in Algester (about 5 mins from the Calamvale Pub) and two weeks ago, the rear passengers window on the drivers side of my TX was smashed and they tried to make off with the stereo. Luckily when I wire in a stereo, it's there for good. I'll keep an eye out for your car though dude, I know the feeling all to well.

Pulling the rotor button out of mine from now on....

Stealing has been a major "racquet" for years, so you aren't telling us something we didn't already know. Any dickhead thats wants something and doesn't want to pay for it, is naturally going to steal it.

Just shits me that now when I am driving my car, I know someone else has been in it. You know what I mean? The person that tried to steal my stereo has been in my car, and that pisses me off....

Oh well ..........

spot weld the bracket and screw the stereo into the bracket from behind (with the dash out?) so you have to take thew dash out. i dunno, be creatve either make it unaccesible or weld it so some metal

run 12 volts thru the brackets so it melts anything that touches it Smile

I meant I posted a warning a while back, that if you dont lock it up, you'll lose it! I just wish everybody would take the time to make their car theftproof, so these ar*ewipes who steal cars have to look elsewhere for a quid.
Yeah, my condolences to goldn. I'll say it again
LOCK IT , OR LOSE IT!!!!!!! AT THE LEAST, MAKE A FUEL CUT OUT SWITCH!!!

I think there is a gang around in Brisbane who specialise in gems. When mine got nicked, it ended up dumped in the forest, with another Gem. these c*nts are so organised, they loaded them on a some sort of vehicle, drive them along main roads, and up an embankment an ordinary car could not negotiate.
They obviusly use some truck or 4 wheel drive, so they are semi serious.
