I'm going to look at what a guy claims is a CDT Head this weekend - can anyone tell me what to look for? What's the difference between a CDT Head and a normal large valve head??

Part 2. How much better are they performance wise??

The CDT S3 (turbo) heads had over 100 man hours spent on them with attention paid to gas flow, blueprinting and matching the manifolds.

That's good but how will I know to look at it? He's running a Rajay turbo (no external wastegate) but with a decent size turbo on top a 1800 block (bored to 2.0 ltr)??? Anything could happen.

unless you want to measure everything up you wont know if its been modified but still, you could do a bit of port work to any head and say it was off a cdt. Unfortunatly the heads didnt come with a big CDT stamped into tem and there were a very limited number of them so either its good or the guys full of shit. Running a 1600 head on a 2ltr bottom end will also require some serious decomp pistons for a turbo motor.
