Does anyone know what computer is used on a rodeo 4ze1?
Would it be able to run a 4zd1 (using 4ze1 injection etc)?

Why not buy a MicroTech MTX8? Costs about $995 and you can just about use it on any fuel injected car. Beats stuffing arround with the stock ECU from the rodeo any day.

Cheers

I'm thinking about using 4ze1 injection on a 4zd1. If I can use the standard rodeo ecu with the rest of the setup (temporary) then I assume for registration purposes they will agree that it meets the emissions requirement for that engine, if not better than with the standard carb.

Also, if I run the original carby setup, I will need to get a TX remote booster for enough clearance. As far as I know, there is no clearance problems with injection (seen 4zc1-T with TC-TG boosters still used).

When I eventually save enough to go down the tUrBo route aswell, then I'd be looking at getting an MTX8 etc, just thinking of a cheap temporary solution.

Cheers.

If you want injection, then the 4ZE1 computer and efi hardware will do the trick and be legal, but if you just want to be legal, the standard carb will also do the trick.
