Try PULP or octane booster, how ever you can always run less advance if it pings to much!

You will find that the water jackets do not line up. If you want to do lots of work and weld up the extra holes then it will work ... really, it is not worth the effort. If you stick with the G200 block, port the G200 head but go to someone who has done it properly before, because just fiddling around will probably lose you power. A 1600 head does fit the 1800 block without trouble ... not so the G200 block, pity! If you want to use the 1600 head, the TD or earlier head is the way to go. The TF and TG heads are very different in the porting and even a ported TF/TG head will not be as good as a stock TX_TD. A mildly ported TX/TD head is as good as it gets and can use larger inlet valves to advantage too. The G200 head is reasonable but still not as good as a TX/TG. Pity you don't have a 1800 block.

TG 1600 head fits perfect on G200, Been running one for about 9 months or so and have blown one head gasket. Blew between 1st & 2nd cylinder probably cause I was thrashing it.

theres only about 2cm of the water jackets that dont line up which isnt really much to worry about. Just make sure you have a good cooling system and it should be ok.
