turbos....what bout this one...

i have a turbo from a hilux/4 runner, and wanna know if i can use it on me gem for lo-boost applications...ie. 8-10 psi, and will it be appropriate. its sitting there doin nothin, and i want more grunt, so i wanna kill 2 birds with one stone. its from a 2.4 diesel, and can be tested for boost pressure..ect.

yeh i have no answer for ya but i also have a question, this is erious. My auto tech class at school have this Scania turbo off of a truck, would that at all be able to fit on a 1600, or what mods would i have to do ?

yeah but I'm assuming it's off a diesel so it may be slow to spool up, I previously had a Toyota CT20 turbo, it would not come onto full boost until at least 2nd gear, but it did the job,

things need for it to work,
Extractor plate
steam pipe bends
Mig welder
to make exhaust manifold.

mandrel bends and pipe about 2 - 2 1/4 inch to plumb turbo to manifold, and an exhaust dump pipe,

shit loads of time,
