Anybody insured a gemini for more than $10,000 if so who
are you with. I had my gem valued and they put $15,000
on it, but I doubt that the Insurance co's will cover that
much.

Cheers

My Gem is insured with Shannons for $15 000. They will insure it on an agreed value. You name the price, but pay the appropriate premium for that price. I'm on a rating one so I pay $900 per year. The first year was $1 500. And my excess is $3 200. Pretty expensive, huh??

Yeh that pretty dear, I've got shannons looking at mine
tommorow they quoted me $528 based on $15k but then told me
that they don't have gemini's that dear on their books. I hope they will insure it cos it close to cost I suppose it's
cheaper for me cos of age and location (TAS) Fingers x

cheaper and easier to insure with them if u do less than 10,000 kms/annum and even better with less than 3000km/annum.

I'm with Shannon's but could only get them to 8K. Asked lots of Q's about agreed value to several people with the answer that the max they will give is what you're likely to get for it on the market. Still baffled as to how Sikgem got them to 15K. Did you use your feminine whiles?? ;op

Do Shannon's not insure if you are under 25 years of age? I think I read that somewhere. I am scouting around for insurance, was with AAMI who were great for bomb coverage but I will need something more to cover the planned mods in the future. AAMI baulked at the oversize steelies, took some convincing they weren't mags...

Gene, I think you may be onto something there. Gemini Driving Yobbo overstepped the mark. I don't put out for just anyone. And certainly not anyone from Shannons. No one at Shannons has any idea of what they are talking about, that's why is easy to manipulate them.

So keep nasty opinions like that to yourself, Yobbo... or I may have to to use your bat on YOU!! *laughs* : )

Hi all,

Well I had shannons look at my car even though they could see I had spent heaps on it they will only cover it for $8,500 thats only about 6k short of I spent. So if I ever do another project i'll try not to over capitalise, fat chance.

Sorry folks just having a winge, i'm a bit pissed off

cheers
