Squeeeek? Could be the rubber at the end of the steering column shaft, this sometimes happens. But of grease will shut it up.
Else you are pissing off the mouse that lives in your Gem when you turn corners, so just drive straight. |

Used to have a '75 TX with no swaybars. Squeaked like a bastard from the front. Turned out to be the lower balljoints that were rooted and full of dirt. They were all but siezed and the steering was really heavy. I lubed them up temprorarily with WD spray and they stopped. However after removing all the crap that was in them the right one popped out while I was driving one day. Not a good thing to happen!
Inspect and replace them if need be - they are cheap. |

does it go away whe it rains ???
if so you might have a bent control arm bolt (upper/lower who knows) or may be alot of rust in that area where the bolt slides thru the cross member???
hope this helps.
????try some crc in these areas???? |
