Hi guys I need help with my dash board now.
I brought another Te for parts and on the dash in line with the steering wheel to the right is the demister button
and 2 the left is a fake button. But on the gem im gona use is a real button what does it do?
its had wires connected to it but the car is now stripped?
any1 know ? |

That would be the driving light switch if a factory fitment or who-knows what since then.
Here's another mystery. My TE SL/X dash doesn't have the side vents, but the photo in the book suggest it should (and it did have air). The dash almost certainly is original. |

side vents were for TX - TC maybe even TD,

no, u could get side vents in the te, it was an option for the slx cars as i have a book about them! the air con swith or control is a sliding switch which fits around the original fan switch which goes to a control box - then to air con. no idea what the dummy switch is for though. |
