the front resonator on my gemini has cracked around the inpipe to the point where it's starting to pull away. Resulting is deafening on acceleration, and exhaust gases filling the cabin.
Is there a quick fix that will temporarily fix this until I get home next week and get the resonator replaced?

I already tried muffler putty and bandage tape and neither worked... i just need to tape the inpipe to the resonator so it will cut down some of the noise, and some of the gases which I'm choking on.

i'm not sure if that would work mykl. where the inpipe has broken away it has actually cracked the resonator front and pulled part of that away with it too.

do you think that cotton cloth would burn/melt if I used to hold the inpipe inside of the resonator for a few days (I have an interstate trip)?

Weld it with a Mig, or Brase it,
about the only option, take to an exhaust place they should only charge $10, for a quick fit,

cheers

the only thing that won't burn is asbestos or fibre glass cloth and the job is not worth that. like eggy says, get it welded is the best bet. Or,if you have the gear available you could tek screw a couple of little 'L' brackets to the end of the muffler around the broken pipe and clamp it with a hose clamp. plug the joint with muffler putty if u have any left.
