HELP-(engine)

ok yesterday i was driving back from murray bridge to adelaide and through the ranges the c ar started to struggle. i had been workinog it at 110 for 100km
and then it started to smoke and then in mt barker it conked out. and steamed like u wouldnt believe
what could this be.
there is no compression anymore so could it be the cylinder head or the piston rings
please help me i have to be back on the road asap

ITS FUCKED> GET A NEW ONE. cost ya $270, cheaper than fixin a stocko 1600 anyway.

when u say u have no compression, is that for all cylinders or only one?

not likely to be piston trouble if no compression on all cylinders unless you punched a hole in each one. more likely to be in the timing train (belts, cam, pulley etc) or a badly warped head. if the cam don,t rotate there will be no compression! did you run it out of water? that would account for smoke (overheating) and could really stuff the head.
