If you cant decide make it several colours. Some hardcore colour flip paint. Dont think anyone has done that to a gem.

And at about $1200 per litre, could you justify the cost.

the ppg harlequin range is about $1000/litre, only comes in 1L tins. You will need atleast 4L to do a gem, inside, bay and body. 4L - make sure its damn straight though coz ur car will look sick with the same panel 5 colours - looking from the one angle due to dents and wavey panels.

The recommended clear is about $250 per litre. Its the clear they use on european cars and japanese cars to cope with the polluted air conditions and acid rain. So all up you're looking close to what? maybe $5000 - before you've touched a block or spray gun. Thats alot of dough for a gem.

BTW, there is a TD gem coupe being built by boostin oz for a client. has 18 inch simmons, harlequin paint and a DOHC turb import engine. not sure what its out of, ie. nissan, isuzu etc etc. This is gonna be an awesome car though.

Keep an eye out for it soon coz i think its nearly ready for the show scene.

Well not really for a gem. But it would be different. Dont know how good harlequin would look, or even chamelion. Colour flip is usually only 2 colours and the whole car changes colour at once so it looks like its painted in solid colours.
