Nikki...but bigger.

Does anyone know the throat sizes for the G200 nikki...i assume they ran nikkis, and they'd have to be bigger than the 1600 nikki, so does anyone know?

If your talking about the butterfly thingys, there exactly the same size as in the 1600 nikki, 30 and 34mm i think? I thought they would bigger too, but eh, I'm stickin a weber on.

Dont bet on it. Ive run a 1600 Nikki on the 2.0 L, and it works fine. IT will flow all you want for a stock 2.0 L.

Have you considered having you nikki modified as an alternative to a Weber. I had one done by a carby place in Redcliffe. They machined the bores out 32 and 35mm and do a few other trade secrets to make sure it idles right. It cost about $150 for the modification and a full rebuild. The carb ends up almost the same as a weber (size wise) and you still get an auto choke and don't have to change any cables or adaptor plates. Running the std air cleaner can be a bonus for insurance too.

Redcliffe is a gold-mine for gemini work, I put this down to it being home to about 3/4s of all of the gemini series cars ever built.

What's the name of the workshop that modified your carb ?
Does it ever bleed the carby dry after thrashing for a few minutes ?
I'd like to look at getting mine modified, and it sounds like the place you got it done would be perfect for me.
