1. Anything is possible
2. Cut the firewall, move the radiator forward, make custom engine and gearbox mounts, custom speed setup, clutch actuation, throttle cable, custom tailshaft...

Now for the 'feedback' section...

Don't do it, read the 202 posts on why not, lead tipped arrow etc etc... there are better motors than the old hemi six...

If you want something smaller than a Valiant, will go like a cut cat etcetc, get yourself a Chrysler Centura. They are a good deal lighter than a Val and the 245/265 fits straight in.

No-one even asked what the car will be for. Will it be a street car? Than I agree with them. Too difficult to register as well. But if it's for drags or burnouts then go for it.

I have a 1976 Leyland Mini Clubman and a 1943 Spitfire fighter plane with a 27.0 litre Rolls Royce Merlin V12 in it and was wondering how to get the Merlin engine into the Mini.

Will there be any problems with rego and insurance? Is it a bolt in swap? Will I need disc brakes at the front?

If you get your measuring tape out for a few quick measurements im sure you will probably find that the engine will not fit. That is with out the radiator being moved about 2" forwards and you will probably have to speak to CRS to have a custom bell housing made up if you want it to bolt up to the gearbox. Heavy duty springs and sway bars should make up for any extra weight. You might need larger fuel lines as i heard these motors drink a bit or it might even be worth putting on gas, in which case a cheep second hand tank and $7 worth of fittings from your local plumbing store should be fine.

Gemini Helicopter? Original idea! Probably easier to register it as a helicopter than as a road car tho...Smile
