How soon do you need one? Do you need a short or long motor? We might be able to talk "turkey".

I don't need it rite away, it's not a rush. I don't know much about engines, thats why i wanna rebuild one, so i can get to know it better. I was looking for something like a 2litre or just a standard 1600. what do you mean by "short or long motor"?? And i'd greatly appreciate it if ya could tell me what i can do and stuff like that.
thanx
cheers steve

Short motor is block, crank, rods, pistons and sump. Long motor includes head and rocker cover. Ancillaries are manifolds, carby, dissy, alternator, water pump, etc.
What I have is a project/soon to be work hack. An '81 4WD Rodeo with a G161Z motor that runs but has a bearing knock. Soon that motor will make way for a good stockie (no knock) for RWC then a 202.
Let me know if you're interested. It'll either be real cheap or a swap for some things I need.

Ok i'm confused man, whats exactly for sale?? hehe, the G161Z? or the stockie after the RWC and u put the 202 in? Either way yeah i'm interested, I'd have to pay ya money for it, cuz i really dont have any parts to swap. I'm a beginner in this field. oh yeah i'm lookin for a long motor, but whatever ya got should be alrite, i'm sure we can arrange something, u seem like a pretty good guy. thanx for ya help, keep me posted

Sorry Steve, the one coming out of the Rodeo, with the "knock". It still actually starts and runs so it's not like it's a crap motor that's seized. It'll be pretty cheap.
