I hate to ask again, and it is a simple silly question I am sure you answered, just want to make for sure I heard correctly 
I have:
Electronic ign dizzy from Jackaroo/Rodeo/??
Electronic ign coil and module from a Shuttle
All works perfectly fine, but the thing that baffles me, and other people I have spoken to, is the coil has a ballast resistor. Can I remove this considering I do not have points to worry about burning out? Will this damage the coil or the module? Can I expect much difference when driving, with the coil running effectively full tilt?
I posted to the GT40 Coil thread, figured it was a lost cause, too old. Is there much to gain by putting a GT40 in place of the standard Shuttle coil?

the ballast resistor makes it eaiser to start with a small battery. also, if it ain't broke, dont rip it off....

Seeing you don't have points anymore you should be running an Electronic Ignition coil! It'll give you more sprak "grunt" at the plugs, better burn, bit more power, better fuel efficiency.

That's what I thought, the Shuttle is an electronic ignition coil, so I am told, but it has a ballast resistor!
I will rip it off and see how she goes

Well, I tried it and it work fine. Gives a bit more poke and response, so I am happy
Just wondering what condition this coil is in, whether I should replace it or not. Is there any way to test the condition of a coil?

Sorry Benno, I dont know how to test a coil, but I do know that you wont get the full benefit of removing the ballast resitor which increases primary voltage to your coil without slightly increasing your spark plug gap.
At the moment, it might be going a bit better, but the physical energy and size of your spark will be the same. Only when you increase the plug gap will it demand more voltage from your coil to jump the gap. This will enable you to potentially burn more fuel in you chambers. Now that you have removed the resitor, the coil is able to supply more secondary voltage.
