If I was to get a diesel Gem how hard would it be to convert it to petrol with a 1600 or other Gem motor?

Sory this isn't in answer to your question but, wouldn't it be easier just to buy a petrol gem?

keep it as a diesel!!!!!....better economy,and {apparently} eaiser to turbo....also come with fuel injection...(as all diesels do), and sound cool.i said they were eaiser to turbo as the run on compression anyways, and already have super-srtong pistons and gaskets.when my mate got his Hi-lux done, the engineer told him that because diesels fire due to compression, de-compressing for fitting a turbo defeats the purpose, as it would never start!!!!!{anyways, if you dont want diesel....dont buy one!!!!!!!!!}

Only reason to buy a diesel is to bolt in a 4zc1 turbo.
Sorted!

The reason for asking is that there seems to be heaps of diesel gems around in better condition than petrol.
All I want to know is,will the 1600 petrol go straigt in?
