Just a point of interest, has anyone tried running 4 small single strombergs, ala xu1 torana? or how about four carbies rated to 250cc's each, off of say, a suzuki roadbike?or somethig similar?
was thinking about a future project gem, say within the next 5 years, and wanted something different, and that was around when the car was built, wanna go for the period ya see...
just wondering. [this is not for practical driving either, just something i can work on and not have to drive as well]. any ideas anyone? has anyone been bothered to try this?
just a thought.
rob.

I have heard of poeple running 4 throttle bodies ( fuel injected) from motorbikes on 2L pinto (escort) and some other cars. apparently worked very well. I would assume that bike carbs would be similar, just remember that bikes rev a lot harder than cars, and all the messing around you might have to do the get it all to 1. fit 2. work together

It works for motorcycles for sure, but what you have with twin side-draught Webers is almost the same thing anyways. Each inlet tract has a butterfly and throat, so you can consider those 4 individual throttle bodies.

For the expense of 4 separate carbs etc you would be better of turboing or supercharging.
