Turbo suggestions

Im looking at either a garret GT25/28 or something similar. Has anyone used one of these on a gem or something bout the same size?
Ive got an 1800 and will be looking at a turbo capable of around 200-230bhp at the rear wheels. So anything capable of about 300-350 flywheel. Not an external wastegate though.
Any ideas?

I spend the below rough figures
G161 lot's of work low comp, $2000
Straight LPG & GRA $1400
Turbo GT25 $1500
Pipe work & intercooler $1000
Brake upgrade $ 200
Tough clutch & 5spd $1000
9 inch diff LSD $2000

brake upgrade was actually piazza front rotors and calipers for $50, what a steal, anyway I also put new pads and got the rotors machined,
yeah it's fun and has been constructed over 3 yrs, out of parts i have collected over about 5 yrs starting with a piazza efi g200 intake manifold for a slab of beer, so the prices are not really what i paid but approximations off what it would / could have cost so as to avoid the " i have $2000 and want to turbo my Gem..." type grap,

also took it calder last friday, and ran 14.80 @ 90mph all night at 13PSI, and ran out of gas the last 50 mter and rolled through the line, still have some tuning work to go but yeah it's fucken fun, on the street it's sort out a 40+ with a BMW Z3 M3 6cynder radster the other week he was so pissed, when I whipped his ass,

Are you having a little trouble getting power to the ground eggy? I mean, 14.80s are damn quick for a little car but I would have thought you'd be pulling slightly quicker times.

Says me whose Gemini would struggle cracking 18 seconds...

traction prob's not yet, but it would with a little tuning work and gas mod's it should be down to flat 14's with out too much work, and then the fun starts pushing it into the 13's

Is your car running straight gas? If so. couldn't this would be a prob. getting better times. The GT25 should be spooling up fairly nicely. I think it should go faster. i also had a look at your pics. quite nice. but the length of you piping is somthing you should look at getting smaller. With a larger diameter pipe too. this would be restrictive.

Can you give me the model no. of the turbo? Im guessing its about a 350hp one.

I would have thought youd be going much quicker aswell. A gem with about 180rwhp will do a high 12sec 1/4. As long as it has a nice suspension set up.

They are a great turbo if you can afford one, dont garret rate their GT25 at 350hp? If you can spare that much for a GT, why bother going so small. CUMMINS rules!
