when RPM=RevolutionsPerMinute, does one rev classify as one complete 360 degree rotation of the crankshaft [ie. 2 ignition firings], or one complete cycle of the engine [ie. 4 ignition firings] ???

The crankshaft one.
Crank spins twice for every dizzy revolution. |
