Went to an all you can carry day, got some rear pedders springs of a commondore a VB that is, Ive hear from people in the Eastern Gemini Car Club of using them in one of their coupes, it looks pretty close!! Any ideas!!

If its from a VB comm, and a pedders at that, it is probably a much heavier coil (ie. thicker) which will stiffen up your suspension heaps, especially if you have to cut it a bit to get your ride height how you want it.

You will be better of traction wise, in both braking an accelerating applications with soft springs that allow for the most possible suspension travel under the expected conditions. A set of soft springs, possibly lowered standard units will work better.

Thanks for that Ben!
They do seem a lot chunkier, Ive got lowered king springs for the wagon, so these can just be spares because when the cars body work is done I have to try and play with getting the 18inch wheels under there, im not shore if im going to be able to let it have too much suspention travel!!
Thankx anyway, what sort of car have you got? it sounds like you have a degree in Geminiology!!

oh yewah VR commo springs fit aswell
they just need to be cut down a little......

Thanks GEMGEM, I have a degree in engineering, geminology is just a hobby.

In my TD, I had cut springs all round purely for cosmetic reasaons, I am now after better handling, as cut springs as low as I had them are basically as hard as a rock. I have since replaced the rears with standard but lowered (by heat) stocky springs, which actually sit lower than my cut ones. These lowered stockies sit about an inch higher than the cut ones do when out of the car, so to make tha car sit lower when installed gives you and idea of how softer they are.

The softer set have really helped with traction, but I am soon to buy a complete new suspension setup. Bigger swaybars with standard spings would probably work good though, as long as they are not cut too much.
