I had a G161 rebuilt recently and the engine number was machined off the top of the block. There isn't enough room to restamp the same spot with the head in place (the engine rebuilder gave me the fully reassembled engine  |

Hey what happened there? My message just posted itself???
As I was saying, we were going to restamp it on one of the flatish parts of the block under the exhaust. Think Qld transport will get their knickers in a twist over that?
