Has anyone fitted a rodeo 2.6 into a Gem. If so, what needed to be modified, how long did it take and how much did it cost?

It has been done (matthew spry from chiptorque being the most famous example) but I haven't done it. It shouldn't be any harder than the 4ZD1 swap outlined in the workshop.

why is it more difficult than the 4zd1? The 4ze1 is just .3 liters bigger with a slightly taller block and you just have to wire up the efi if you want to run it. Same shit as a 4zc1. Pretty much a bolt in swap for a diesel gem.

I'd be interested in that swap, If you get the motor, I'd like to photograph/document it for a decent workshop item as I feel dustin's 4ZD1 swap is lacking in detail.

PS. Saw you down the spit on saturday... pity you arrived when you did and not ten minutes earlier, a turbo gemmy (GEM 13T) had just left...

What is that 2.6 called? I have been interested in this conversion for a while.
