|
|
I have just recently fitted my Shortend VN Commodore Diff to BlueTC (well in primer still)
Thanks to to the Aussie Diff Shop in Currumbin QLD they Supplied and Shortend a VN Borg Warner Diff and MIG welded my Gemini mounting brackets off my 10 bolt diff, (Spring Buckets, Shock and panhard rod mounts)
Cost as follows:
They Supplied VN Borg Warner Diff, no centre or pinion, shorten housing and MIG weld Gemini mounting brackets on prespectively, and shortend and resplined Axels - $450
4.11 Diff gears from Supplied Pinion and Crown wheel, new bearings and clean diff - $550
New VL Axel Bearings - $90 the pair
Slotted Rear VL Rotors, Suit Commodore - $95
New Bendix Ultimate Brake Pads - $90
Lower control Arm Bushes - $70
Brake Lines - $20 - Thanks Gene!
VR Calipers and VP backing plates with Handbrake Brackets - $100
These prices do not included GST or Labour charges, there would have been a cheaper alternative, say got a VP with 3.9's and done the conversion,
I will be going a one peice tailshaft, and still need top links as they diff is held by the lower control arms, or go a four link,
I have kept the 5 stud as i am puttin the Hoppers Stoppers VT front brake kit, which is cheaper if you keep the 5 stud also, and can use commodore wheels in respective width though,
Hope this helps anyone, any questions email me jadow2u@yahoo.com , just want to thanks Micheal aka Blupanno/Wagonslut for all ya help mate,

Um yer, it was majorily 6 stuff i think, i know that the diff and axels are 6 items, as V8 axels are more complicated, too thick and not enough metal to taper
yer she is a mixture as described above |
