This is a good tip for making van/wagon tail light lenses look like new and actually seal.

You will need:

1 A tube of a good brand, black urethane - ie wurth
2 A tube gun
3 A philips head screw driver
4 A 8mm socket with screw driver attachment
5 A rag
6 A tin of presol/wax & grease remover

1 Remove the tail light assembly completely from the car (unplug the wires)
Place the lenses somewhere safe - you know how rare good ones are. Using the
above tools.

2 Leave the rubber still around the diecast tail light. This ensures that it
sits how it does when mounted to the car, and also holds the cracks open.

3 Clean the rubber with the prepsol and rag.

4 Now, smear the urethane from the gun with your finger right around the
rubber, getiing into all the cracks and splits. this is really messy but
you'll get the hang of it.

5 Once you've done all the way around, clean your hands with the prepsol.
Now use the rag and prepsol to neaten up your work and wipe the excess from
around the rubber away. You can also wipe the rubber to get a smoother and
more consistent finish. Use your judgment and don't wipe it all off!

6 Leave the urethane to cure for atleast a few hours. It dries like new
rubber and looks great - well, compared to how they did.

It only took me about 1/2 hour to do both rubbers - obviously this does not
include curing time.

You can also use petrol instead of prepsol, but prepsol is preferred.
