hey, just lookin through the latest street machine magazine with the 6/71 Vt on the cover...
on page 125 theres a Redline Performance inlet manifold add

it says you can get these for gemini's and i was just wondering has any one got one of these?
and how much did it cost?
It also says 2 x IDF Webers, what does this mean?

what performance gains did you make? and whats the total horsepower of your engine ? (at the rear wheels)

one last more question, has anyone fitted a solid cam to a gemini engine? (meaning 1.6L, 1.8L or 2.0L)

Thanks alot.

my cams are prity solid....

i have a lynx manifold on one of my geminis. there basicly the same as the redline one (i think / been told) there so u can fit other styles of webber/ carbies.
2 idf webers means exactly that, 2 of them .. ie twin webers

Gene FJ20DET .... what are the profile of your cam/s?

would i be better of putting a 320/50 Holley on the standard manifold?

Depends. Has the head had alot of breathing work done, and the bottom end pretty strong?? If not then twins are overkill bigtime.
Holley would be the better option.

Ive been told many times that a 2" is best for a gemini running extractors. You can pick up extractors for $50-$100 for second hand ones. A Lukey 2" exhaust with 1 muffler is around the $190 mark (thats what I was quoted).

everyone makes extractors for gems, i ran 2.5. but recommend 2.25

the whole "my cams are solid" was a joke, iu know solid... not hollow

the redline maniflds are $250 each. the idf stands for downdraft weber. and something else.
if your thinking 350 holley try a 32/36 first.

extractors everyone makes them genie are about $200 brand new and pacemaker tuned length are $250. and dont belive anyone that sez there gemini extractors are mandrel bent.

a good exhuast should cost around $200 and make sure they do nice flowing bends over the diff i belive this is a major restriction area.

Yes, I have done a couple.

Couple of hundred with linkage kit.

It meant it is specifically suited to twin IDF model Webers.

It varies greatly between engine mods and how the carbs were built.

You'll never know till you try.

AS apposed to a hollow one?

Thats ok.
