Hey everyone.
Need to replace timing chain tensioner on my gem and cant seem 2 get timing cover off. im sure ive undone all bolts.
please help me i want my gem back on the road.

when i say my mate doing it he had to take the sump off to get the front cover off
i dont know if you have to do it this way but thats how he did it

Yeah i thought i might have to try that. seems like a huge pain though just to take the timing cover off. thanks hope someone can give me a definate answer

did you get the 2 bolts inside the head that go into the timing cover?

I just had to do this a few weeks ago and yes you have to take off the sump, the timing cover has the oil pump in it and the oil pick up which is attached to it is then unbolted once the sump is off. I hope this makes sense
