ok i know i asked this a wk or so ago
but can you just replace the rings? ave price
my engine is still going fine just lots of oil is gettin gsucked up into the air filter so im thinking if i can afford just the rings now b4 it gets wosre wouldnt this save it from a recon |

nah i wouldnt probably tackle this one my self as i dont have enough spare time and drive accross town to work so cant risk having no car
so i was looking into how much places do it for
and weather its worth it |

as ive said ur best bet would be to find a stock reco/rebuilt g180 or g200 and get it put in save that extra coupla hundred, u wont be dissappointed _________________

but the labour involved means alot of effort
and this engine is quite strong and reliable except for the rings lol |

well mate if u dont do the rings yourself ur gonna have to pay labour and it will be just a bit less in cost than a swap.
buy a replacement donk and use the old one to tinker around with, that how i'd do it anyway. _________________

what search for a cheep twin cam?
they arent cheep and dont they need computers
they also would need to be checked or go through regency?
and just hold onto the other one? |

just be sre to do ur homework, ring around and get quotes for the full job, and compare them to quotes for ur current motor to be re-ringed etc _________________

i just remembered the guys up from my dads had a pv with a g200 in it about 6 months ago looks pretty clean might go speak to them |
