hi guys just a quick question.i was wanderin wat woold b beta v6 supercharge or a turbo....and how much woold it cost

For a V engine a supercharger is MUCH easier. To turbo charge a V you need to twin turbo it, a lot more expensive. Or do some hardcore pipe work to single turbo it. If you got lotsa money then twin turbo!!

tell me whats wrong with them besides the obvis bullshit of ITS THE WEAKEST LINK to the engine..
mate ive run a 10 second gemini for the last 5 years and never had a problem with the pushrods..

OK I'll bite....

Advantages of OHC:

- Reduction of the valve train inertia which allows higher revs.
- More precise actuation due to the elimination of the deflection of the intermediate parts.
- Reduction in the friction losses due to the possibility to use less strong valve springs.
- The cylinder head side is cleared of the pushrods, which constitute a hindrance to the free design of the intake and/or exhaust ducts.

Getting rid of the lifters and pushrods reduces the reciprocating mass of the valvetrain. This enables an OHC engine to rev higher and produce more power with less risk of valve float. Increasing the redline on a pushrod engine requires the use of much stiffer springs, which increases friction, wear and the risk of breakage in the valvetrain. Roller rockers and lightweight valve spring retainers help but can be expensive.

An overhead cam arrangement also makes possible the use of more than two valves per cylinder (three-, four- and five-valve heads). Multivalve heads increase airflow and allow small displacement engines to produce more power without the added cost and complexity of turbocharging or supercharging

I have two pushrod engined vehicles. I have no
complaint, I have had the privlidge of piloting a
few real fast DOHC cars and I gotta say that I
really dont't have a prefrence.

I'd like to point out that every last NHRA
Dragster and Funnycar uses a PUSHROD engine with a
hemispherical head for maximum perfomance. What
conclusion can we draw from this information.

I always thought probably due to my mopar slant on
world views that one of the greatest advantages to
the Hemi head were the port paths, and the
sparkplug location at near top center of the
chamber, as a result having a DOHC engine allowed
the plugs to be inserted into the head in the
center of the combustion chamber.

IMHO the bottom line is head design and valve
layout seem more important than what actuates the
valves and it is easier to get things to line up
with an OHC setup but perhaps not neccesarily any
better.
