sorry mate but they are different,the 5spd shift has the extra selector on the main selector shaft

The gearstick is the same though, I agree with elky..

Yup i agree too, same as 4 speed, the stick is da same, but 5 speed box just has extra selecter, where as 4 speed doesn't has nothing to do with the actual stick.

well this is interesting, i have had both sticks out and they are the same style but the 5spd stick has the extra selector(small round knob) on the bottom i am assuming this is the selector for the fifth gear, if this is right a 4spd stick wouldn't select fifth gear...any opinion welcome.len

Yes they are different...Not a selector though. Just a locating knob. If you put a 4spd one in it will still be able to select all gears, but it will be able to turn
around at least 180 degrees, could even be 360 cant remember. You you have to use a 5spd one or mod the 4spd.

i,m just a fussy prick, if it's a 5spd it has to have the right stick. have you never noticed the locater. does it rotate without it...len
