Rear Wheel Cylinders:

Rear wheel cylinders on petrol engined (some post 4/79 TD, all TE-TG) Gemini's using the 22.22mm diameter piston use the exact same wheel cylinder as those used on all VB-VL Commodore's fitted with rear drum brakes. The same cylinders are also used in all 6cyl UC Torana's with rear drum brakes.

Kits to rebuild Gemini rear cylinders are expensive so if your dust cover boots are still in good order get a set of 22mm piston seals from your local brake bloke and do the job for just a few dollars.

Tacho:

A standard tacho from an earlier model Honda Civic will fit straight into a Gemini in place of the original clock. Even looks like it was factory original.

Wheels:

BMW four stud rims will neatly fit your Gemini and provide an easy 14" or 15" conversion.

Any chance on getting a year or model type on the Civic tacho conversion ?
I'd like one for my TX but dont want to fork out the $250+ for the one that is on E-Bay.

Not 100% sure of the model. See if I can figure it out for you.

We don't have a "Sprints" where I am, only a dozen or so other companies. When I searched for a rear brake cylinder repair kit for a petrol Gemini, I nearly fell off the seat when told the price so I did some research on other options.

I don't believe I should have to pay all the back rent on shelf space at my local parts store.

Anyway I found I could get 22mm piston seals for $2 each pair (which is the option I took, a total of $4) or for $19.95 I could have had two new wheel cylinders.

On the other hand I could have had (the same $2 pair of piston seals AND 2 new dust boots thrown in) which is a complete repair kit for a single rear cylinder, for about the price of a family meal or two sets of replacement new wheel cylinders mentioned above.

I chose to feed the family.

From memory, a brand new wheel cylinder was about $20 from Bursons 6 months ago. much cheaper if you think about the time take to strip the old one and replace stuff.

I've noted a number of different models that will fit. They are all Nippon denso so it's probable any of the ones with the same design as the Gemini tacho will fit. Not sure which particular model mine was from.
