ok i decided to paint my dash in my TE tommoro or one of these days ...what is the best paint to use ...sumthing that wont chip easy and how should i prepare my dash bfore i do this ....sanding etc...any help

VHT Penetrating Colour Dye for vinyl and carpet. can get from autobarn.

sand it with 1500 grit and prep wash it b4 u paint

gene is right, but 1500 is too fine, 600 would be best, if not, atleast 800.

If you're going to use the VHT dye, then all you need to do is make sure the dash is thoroughly clean. It's a DYE, it doesn't need to "stick" to the surface, it penetrates.
If you're painting it, yes you need to sand it to give good adhesian. |
