If yours is running the remote reservoir, then the rubber lines are there to fill the Master Cylinder itself and hold no pressure, hence they're rubber.
Just loosen, don't have to remove. You'd only need about 1/2 a turn to pressure bleed them.
Get whoever's helping you to pump the pedal 2-3 times then hold it firm. Then "crack" nut and watch for any air "spitting" out. If it does, repeat the process (pump, hold, crack) on the same nut. If you don't see any air bubbles, then do the other nut. Only hold the nut open long enough for your helpers foot to reach the floor, then tighten before they release the pedal. If no air is expelled, the M/Cyl can be considered bled.
Continue on to the wheel cylinders, or rear calipers (if fitted), then the front calipers. |
