What is the correct pressure rating for the radiator cap on a 1600 engine with standard radiator??? I'm unsure whether mine is the right one as i'm losing fluid regularly, so i'm gonna replace it with a dual acting one, i'll post in the R&D section when its all sorted... Cheers

And obviously i know that but don't worry i got one, i checked my manual, i wanted to know sooner so i didnt have to go home. The original owner had replaced it with the wrong one thats why i asked in case that had happened so i knew for certain...

over time the radiator cap's spring can start to die and not hold as much pressure or the rubber seals can fuck up so that can be a problem. that's what happened with my gemini, it would piss out radiator fluid out the run off hose every time i drove somewhere cos the spring was fucked.

Yeah you can get the springs tested and stuff, however they had put the wrong one in, i guess they just bought one that looked the same...
