MOOCH NEED HELP WITH CUSTOM DASH

dude with the custom dash you put in your wagon how did you
keep your gaudges from coming out cause i cant get the folding brackets in,how did you do it?????and what type of paint did you uses(2pac,acrylic)on the dash

im not sure what he used, but if its painted, i would use a base coat with 2pack clear but make sure u put a flattening base in the clear otherwise it will be reallly shiny and will be annoying, like mine

I used screw in gauges, VDO makes them, easy as, the tacho screws in from behind, a bit fiddly but not that hard.

Try glassing your holding brackets into your dash and bolt them from behind.

I used acrylic to paint the dash, it's acrylic base with an acrylic clear, we just sprayed it a lil bit dryer on the top to avoid glare. Use a slow drying thinners - there's some specifically for acrylic. Acrylic is safer and cheaper to use at home.

There's about 50 odd hrs in my dash so it's quite time consuming - from unbolt to bolt in. Multiply that by 10 bucks and hr (which would be very cheap!!) and it soon becomes a $500 dash + material, so about $600 bucks.
