there i was taking out my starter motor, not know exactly what to do as i have never don it b4, no had told me that i had to unbolt the engine mount from the block to actually pull the starter motor out, when i was doing this the bottom bolt so so tight when it finally cracked my hand went flying up so fast it was sliced open on a sensor thing hanging off the side of the block resulting in me waiting in emergency for 2 hours just to have it fixed, in the end they said if i was 1mm deeper you would have needed 5 stitches, so i waited that fucking long for them to just clean it up. oh by the way i got my new starter motor in and it wouldnt start so nothing like a free call out from raa and my baby is now working again, purring with the occasional gurgle. haha, its all in the love... |

The only time you need to touch the engine mount is when you have a manifold with the egr shit on the bottom. What year is yours?? |

i make changing mine into a game. i time myself and try to beat it. im down to 7 1/2 min car started (the ONE joy of twin down drafts). i change starters every 2 months or so (damn high comp) i find there cheaper when you buy in bulk, 4 at a time!!
i hate emergency rooms with there dumb ass questions. "how would you rate your pain from 1-7 sir? 1 is no pain to 7 being your leg torn off?" i dont really know you fukn twit ive never had my leg torn off!!!!
then to top it off you get to go home 4-8 hours later |

I never leave the pollution gear on so I cant remember how hard it was with it. But I think that you can manouver it out, just with alot of patience. Much easier to do what you did. |
