webers go from about $300-1500 depending on size and condition
dellortos go from as little as $150-500
webers are a better carby with more tuning capabilities

make a set off twin webbers with
2 x 32/36 webbers
and 2 x intake manifolds

just cut the intake pipes 1 and 4 off
and bolt em both up
than run a bit off accelerator cable too both webbers like the handbrake design

Thats not really correct, they are both equivalent carbs, except that there are more jets and stuff available off the shelf for Webers than dellortos, but from a functionallity and performance point of view, they are identical.

How exactly do you mean?

I am going by engineering logic, which leads me to believe one shouldn't perform better than the other, as they have almost the same physical dimensions and ciruictry function.

I am also going by experiences of tuners I know who have actually made more torque with a identical spec Dellorto, than they have with a Weber. ALthough, they should really make the same torque, fuel economy, etc. No-one could explain it.

So........"no there not"....what????
