on cold days or nights my car does not run right. It runs fine for the first 5 minutes or so and then will not run right. It sounds like it misses at low revs and then when you put your foot down a little bit the car will die. Other times itl run fine when it is under load but will miss and not idle. It also backfires a great deal down hills etc. Then if the next day is warm itl run fine. Any ideas what could be wrong.

I'd check if theres moisture getting into the distributor. Water could be condensing inside causing it to mis when its cold weather (moisture = cold weather, which would explain why you dont get it when the weathers hot)
