Has anyone ever installed a oxygen bottle on the floor behind their front seats and ran a tube too the top off their air cleaner and pointed the oxygen straight down into the webber...

the tube will have a valve relise button mechanisam which will be placed near the gearstick

Will this idea work???

I'd lean more towards a wet manifold Nos system if you're going to all the trouble of carting a bottle around and hooking lines up to your carb. Either one will be illegal, but nos would be more worth the hassle and horsepower if you do get caught.

If you've played with pure oxygen much you'd know this is a completely stupid idea... The only possible outcome is a large fire.

Wouldnt work anyway. There is only a certain amount of air that an N/A engine can suck in whether it is blown in from a bottle or not. The air would have to sealed off to only go into the carby and not escape to atmosphere which is what it would do.

Oxygen is also very volatile and would certainly cause problems with fires/explosions etc.

And the biggest draw back is the fact that when trying to force that much oxygen into the engine without much, if any, more fuel, the engine would run so lean it would just let go in every way.

yeh i know there's Nos ... there is a kit for sale in the trading post this week for $300buks... (fits onto any carbyed engine)
and it only costs 100buks too hire a full bottle and u get about 10squirts outa the stuff, it increases your HP by 150.

but i thought it woulda been alot cheeper too hire a oxy bottle and just hook up your own line too the carby, also it would last alot longer than NOS would... but unfortunatly this idea is a no no

nos is oxegen with a stabiliser. pure oxegen would turn your engine into one mother of a bomb. a lot of people think nos is a fuel, its just another form of forced induction. if you want to go the nos way look for a fogger system. the nosels are lumbed into your manifold like injectors on efi and shoots the nos straight into your manifold. the carby set up is a base plate that sits under your HOLLEY carb with a nosel in the side of the plate. you can work out how much nos is safe by working out your horse power then divide it by 2. eg. 140hp/2= 70hp of nos. to run more you need to upgrade to forged pistons, h-beam rods ect. (friends a drag racer)
