The SR20 could pose a bit of a problem with your budget, i'd suggest dropping in a VH45DE as this bolts up to the original stub axles and as far as i know, the only mods are to re-wire your CD player and a new heavy duty blinker flasher-can.
The added bonus is that you should still have a bit left over from your $100 budget to fit a tuned port nitrous system to your starter motor. Hope it all goes well for you.
