Theoretically, most SOHC G200s are installed with a minimum of fuss - as you well know, the standard Gemini gearbox (late TX onwards MSG 4 speed or MSG 5 speed) will bolt straight up to a G200.
These are usually sourced from Rodeos, which may use a different gearbox, especially if they are 4WD or column-shift manual. So it's pointless changing the box.
Therefore, unless the car or engine/gearbox mechanical package have been lifted straight from a Japanese-spec G200 Gemini, the odds are that most G200s going around are using the standard Gemini 4 or 5 speed.
That's a bit of logic (which I'm not too good at), but when I dropped in a G180 in my old panno, I just got it dropped in and went. That's the beauty of them! |

I now have 2 5speed boxes. One of which (in behind the G200 at the moment) has a shorter 1st meaning a bigger jump to 2nd. The other box out of a TD wagon has closer 1st and 2nd. I am assuming either will fit. |

you want a early model box the one with two bolt holes holding the shifter down and with reverse left and down. |
