OK, was planning to do this head swap, right!?! never seen one before. but then i was talking to a mechanic who reckons that it'll ping its nuts off, even running only premium with the 10.6:1 comp. Also he reckons the coolant passages don't line up good enough and so the head tends to overheat and crack. Is he full of shite? is anyone running this combo?
i reckon he probably nose nuttin, cos he also says a nikki runs better than a 32/36 weber on a 2lt.

im sick of answering this bloody question do a search ........... all g series heads are interchangeable tru on a g200 the water galleries dont exactly line up but its bugger all and doesnt worry anything, the compression will be fine, tx heads have smaller comb chambers than later heads but still run with no worries.

Ok, I'm not here to tell you what to do, but this does make sense. A mechanic/engine specialist works on engines for their living. They most likely know what they are on about. Every engine builder I have spoken to in workshops has strongly advised not to use a 1600 head on a G200, they all say the compression is too high for our fuel.

The point, do what you like engine wise, just realise that most mechanics do know more about engines and what works than the backyard 'specialist'
