I wrote to A1 auto spares about a 4XC1 engine.

They wrote back with this:

YES A 4XCI TURBO ENGINE WILL BOLT UP TO YOUR G/BOX AND DROP
STRAIGHT IN.
BUT ITS BETTER TO PURCHASE THE COMPLETE ENGINE KIT WITH TURBO 5 SPEED BOX.
THEY ARE STRONGER. A KIT IS TURBO ENGINE COMPLETE,5 SPEED G/BOX
COMPUTER LOOM, AIRFLOW METER,INTERCOOLER AND PIPING...
TOTAL COST ABOUT $1700.00 LOT

ive been told the n/a box would be strong enough but there you go

All the Gearboxs are the Same in a RB/JT150, The only Diffwerence betwen N/A and Turbo is the Drive Shafts.
N/A has for example 35mm Shafts and Turbo has 48mm.
Thats only Difference, JT190 Boxes are the same but the Ratios are different to Suit Turbo and Twin Cam and Turbo Diesel
