Just wondering if anyone can tell me how to tighten my handbrake cable? How long does it take and is it easier enough to do while up on a jack or do ya have to chuck it up on a hoist??
Thanks heaps |

It takes about 5 mins and all you need is a 12mm spanner.
You could even do it with the car on the ground.
Have fun.. |

pop the rear end up with handbrake off
about the middle of the car the cable divides at a yoke. loosen the locknut and adjust the other nut up to get rid of slack. you want to pull handbrake on and off a few times after that and recheck for slack at fully off. you want the hb full on about 1/2 way thru lever travel. release it and check the wheels spin freely. you're done. |
