as the topic asks i was just wondering thats all and can u do it ur self (ive herd stories of ppl doing it n stuff but ive never seen it done)

any help would be good thanx

All things being eqaul, the engine should accelerate faster (ie rev quicker), as there is less inertia trying to keep the engine speed constant. This also works in reverse, the engine will slow down faster too. All up, whilst free reving, it will be 'snappier' by the throttle.

As far as performance increase goes, I dare say you would never notice it. I always get it done though, as every little bit counts, and doesn't cost that much.

Anyone can do it if they have access to a lathe that is big enough.
