im about to start stripn and painting my car next week and im thinking of getting rid of the antena. ive heard that u can get ones that go under the car or something is this right???? and if so how much??????? |

im not sure about the ones under the car but i think the bmw ones are a little fin n the back windscreen, might wanna check that out!

I had mine just sitting on the dash and it worked fine.
The guy I bought my car off didn't believe in drilling holes in the car. hehe |

just replace the old huge metal one with another one that is retractable, i think the auto ones are too big to fit under the original hole but if u just get one from any auto store that folds down would look heaps better...i gotta do the same thing, i saw just a basic thin black fold/push down one for like $12 at repco!!!! finally someone answered ur Question! y bother with a fin or a fancy one....it's just a bloody aerial, and u probably use cd player more than a radio!!!!

DIY with a disc of metal and solder. I did this and it came up sweet. no warpage either if you keep the temp low. But don't use the electrical resin core solder.
Or you could use an adhesive to fix the disc and then fill with solder.
the gregory's manual on car body repairs is an excellent resource for such jobs!

while weilding up some rust i was just going to weild it up like it was the rust hole in my floor but abit smaller. |
