has anybody got any ideas on how much a mild cam will cost for my gem, and how much a 1600 head will cost.

Cams range from $50 to $260, due to being second-hand or new. Check the Crow Cams web-site for specs and prices. Or alternatively check the parts/for sale section on this site. The 1600 heads range from $50 to maybe $150 for a good immaculate unit. Again do a search on the Parts section for prices and answers.
