| i reacon that the it goes dato, em and then scort. Dato 1600's rock my metes got 3 and one will be registerd soon and ill probly be goin on the next cruise in that. |

no there was never a 1.5, both Mk1 and Mk2 escorts were available with 1.3, 1.6 and a 2L
mk1 and mk2 2 doors both weigh just over 900kgs but a TX coupe will still beat em. Datto 1600, like yobbo said, will beat both in standard form.
Also interesting to compare the rear supension of the three cars, Datto 1600's have IRS, esky's have leaf springs and the gemi's have solid axle coils.
But what escort owner in their right mind has a 1600 when you could have a 2L??
