THATS all for 4 pistons and rings?? damn thought it would be more expensive then that.

Yeah, allow about $50 - $60 per pot for good quality hypereutectic slugs and moly rings.
See what I can confirm tomorrow.

Hey Yonnee, can you get me a price on whatever I'd need to build a strong bottom end for that CDT head + garrett turbo I was talking about the other day. I've got an old 1600 that I wouldn't mind building to run reasonable boost but I don't want to be rebuilding it every 4 months.

MomoFan,

I have used a G161 bttom end, Bore the shit out of it, put some VL Slugs in it (good for low comp), and mod the rod's so your have full floaters, balanced the lot, o'rings, and copper head gasket, one tuff bottom end,

yeah you need to have your rod's honed just a little so the VL pins fit, so they float like they should,

I can safely run up to 18 PSI on this setup not a problem,

yes that was a whole sale price for both rings and pistons (ACL)
